Richmond vernon

Richmond Vernon joins The Ecclesial School at Saint Alban’s as the dialectic History and Bible Teacher. A Florida native from Winter Garden, he holds a bachelor's degree in Social Studies from Florida State University. Before pursuing a career in education, Richmond first worked in sales for the Phoenix Suns and then the Tallahassee Democrat. After making the decision to transition into education, Richmond was soon hired as a history teacher at Evans High School in Pine Hills. He spent over seven years as a Trojan, teaching the full catalog of social studies courses in addition to coaching both wrestling and girls’ flag football.  While working at Evans, Richmond was also proud to serve as a paralegal in the US Army Reserve. He now comes to The Ecclesial School with tremendous excitement to embrace the classical approach and help direct young people towards both knowledge and virtue.

Richmond is married to his wife of eight years, Bailey, with whom he has three children; Vonzene, 3, Parker, 1, and infant Tully. The Vernons are members at Ascension Lutheran Church (LCMS) in Casselberry. Outside of the classroom, Richmond enjoys researching genealogy, weight training, and coaching youth wrestling.
