Katarina Nieminen

Katarina Nieminen recently received her Bachelor of Music degree in Violin Performance and Music Theory from Stetson University in Deland, Florida. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and was the 2026 recipient of the prestigious Presser Scholar award, the highest honor given to a graduating senior in the School of Music. While at Stetson, Katarina taught private violin lessons through the university’s Community School of Music program. 

Being classically educated herself, Katarina is excited to be a part of the ESI community. She finds great joy in helping students succeed within the rigor of a classical Christian curriculum, and she considers it a privilege to provide students with an excellent education, encouraging them in faith toward God and love toward one another. 

When not in the classroom, Katarina enjoys serving in her church community, especially assisting with music. She plays piano and organ in addition to violin and has previously directed a children’s choir at her church. She also enjoys skiing up north as well as spending time with her family and friends.
