David Diquattro
Dr. David DiQuattro joins The Ecclesial Schools after many years of teaching philosophy at the college level. David earned his Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Notre Dame in 2010. His research and writing focuses on moral philosophy, particularly drawing on ancient approaches to the good life, agency, and ethical formation. He has taught across the philosophical curriculum in ways that also significantly dialogue with Christian thought and the Christian tradition. From 2008-2015, David was a member of the Philosophy Department at Grove City College in Pennsylvania (Grove City College is also his undergraduate alma mater). David has taught in Florida since moving here with his family in 2015. He has been a visiting faculty member at Rollins College (where his wife, Marianne, has been a faculty member in the Theatre Department since 2015); from 2022-2025, he was Visiting Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Stetson University.
David has been married to his wife Marianne since 2009. They have two children, Giovanna and David Eliot. They are members of the Cathedral Church of St. Luke in Orlando. Outside of the classroom, David enjoys music, particularly choral singing; he has performed with the Messiah Choral Society for several years. He also enjoys cooking and grilling, theatre, chess, writing, and sports.
