Christine miller

Christine Miller is excited to join the staff of Ecclesial Schools this Fall as an Instructional Coach and Math Specialist.

Christine is a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a degree in Computer Engineering. She spent several years working as a software engineer in the central Florida area before turning her attention to mothering and education.

She began her teaching career at The Geneva School, Casselberry, Florida in 2006. Since that time, she has consistently worked to refine her craft of teaching mathematics in a way that cultivates in her students a wonder at the beauty of math. In her role as a teacher, she twice won the Paideia Award for teaching (2012 and 2023).

In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Christine also led the math department at The Geneva School for many years. During that time, she developed, mentored and grew a team of math teachers committed to a problem-based approach in which students are encouraged to think through challenging problems in order to discover theorems and develop deep mathematical ideas. This approach to math education produces resilient and flexible math explorers.

Christine and her husband, Scott, have two grown children, Hunter and Heather, who live and work in central Florida. In their spare time, you might find the Millers enjoying good movies, playing board games, and planning their next trip!
