Alicia O'Riordan is a K-2 Instructional Coach at the Ecclesial Schools Initiative', serving both the Northland and St. Alban’s campuses. Early on, Alicia discovered a passion for nurturing the growth and development of young children, and chose to attend Florida State University to earn a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. She has now devoted the last 21 years as an early childhood educator, in both public and private settings, as well as homeschooling her own four children. During this time, Alicia has seized every opportunity to expand her knowledge of the developing child through a variety of instructional pedagogy as well as sensory-rich, play-based learning. Alicia is trained in and has utilized the Orton Gillingham reading methodology over the past 3 years, and looks forward to expanding The Ecclesial School’s breadth of knowledge in this structured literacy approach for our youngest students. She is passionate about the early stages of development and is eager to support our teachers and students in creating rich and meaningful learning environments and experiences.

Alicia loves to spend time on the beach with her husband and their four daughters. They enjoy the breeze of the salty air while spotting wildlife and collecting shells together. Alicia also finds delight in cooking, party planning, and interior design.
