tim Mitchell

Tim Mitchell joined the Ecclesial School team this fall as an Instructional Coach in the 5th-8th grade Logic School. Tim has worked in Christian education for almost 40 years serving in various roles as a classroom teacher, dean of faculty and curriculum, campus principal, and head of school. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Social Professions from the University of Kentucky and a Master of Education degree from Covenant College in Integrated Curriculum and Instruction. He holds a certification from the Florida Department of Education in K-12 Humanities.

Tim pursued a career in Christian education with an interest in questions surrounding the learner’s status as an image-bearer of God. As we are created by a relational Trinitarian God, it would naturally follow that learning reflects that relational harmony, answering questions like; how do we learn, how do we lead students to learn, and how do we decide what to learn?

Tim and his wife, Susan, live in Winter Springs and have five children and two grandchildren. He is actively involved in his church and currently serves on the Parish Council. In recent years his Doberman, Doobie, has nosed his way into Tim’s leisure time requiring two walks a day and a lot of attention.
