aracelis berrios

Aracelis Berrios is excited to be teaching Kindergarten this year at Ecclesial School at St. Alban’s.

Ms. Berrios has been in the education field for over 25 years in Virginia. During that time she worked 11 years in elementary, 15 in high school and 1 in middle school. Ms. Berrios started in education as an assistant who grew to love and enjoy working with students with special needs, and for that reason she sought to become a special education teacher and obtained her Bachelor’s degree from Old Dominion University.

Ms. Berrios has worked in the self-contained and general education classroom setting where she gained much knowledge helping her students.  She has also worked as a job coach with students in the Careers Development Program. These programs prepare students with life skills after graduation. The last position Ms. Berrios held was in Virginia as a cross-category special education teacher where she worked with students with Emotional Disturbance Disorder, Intellectual Disability, Specific Learning Disability, and Autism. Ms. Berrios also worked as secretary to the principal and a translator to the special education team.

Ms. Berrios grew up in New York City and moved to Virginia where she raised her now three adult children and helps with her 12 grandchildren and great nephews and nieces. She now lives in Florida where God has opened the door to be part of The Ecclesial School.  She has always embedded the importance of education in her children and grandchildren. She is excited to have two of her grandchildren also attending The Ecclesial School at St. Alban’s.  She enjoys reading, spending time with her family and friends, attending church, and traveling. Ms. Berrios is filled with joy and excitement working where the word of God is freely accepted and acknowledged and feels this is where the Lord has lead her so that she can help each of her students excel.
